Lets get the topic started with a class schedule or class breakdown. Without classes and rules, you cant really have a race now can we?

Lets start with the stock classes.

Single Cylinder

Stock cyl limited/OEM frame

-Stock cyl represents a stock cyl, no aftermarket. Big bores allowed. No power adders. Gas or Methanol only. M1 or similar only no fuel additives allowed.
-OEM frame constitutes. Stock frame maintaining a-arm mounts and stock swingarm mount. Can be lightened and use chromoly subframe.

Stock cyl limited/Non-OEM frame

-Same as limited motor specs.
-Frame can be stock lengthened lightened frame or rigid. Suspened (strutted) or all out drag frame.

(Maybe a MAX wheel base on the Non-OEM frame???)

Stock cyl unlimited/OEM frame

-Stock cylinder. Big bores allowed, Alternative fuels allowed. Power adders allowed. Nitrous and turbos9M5 or Oxy fuel).
-OEM frame same as above. Stock mounting locations. Chromoly subframe. Lightened frame.

Stock cyl unlimited/Non-OEM frame

-Stock cylinder. Big bores allowed. Alternative fuel allowed (M5 or Oxy fuel). Power adders allowed. Nitorus and turbos.
-Non-OEM frame constitutes stock lengthened, lightened frame or rigid. Suspended (strutted) or all out rigid.

(Maybe a MAX wheel base on the Non-OEM frame???)

Aftermarket cyl limited/OEM frame

-Aftermarket cyl allowed. No power adders. Gas or methanol only. No alternative fuels.
-OEM frame. Maintaining stock a-arm mounting locations along with stock swingarm mounting locations.

Aftermarket cyl limited/Non-OEM frame

-Aftermarket cyl allowed. No power adders or alternative fuels. Gas or Methanol only.
-Frame can be stock lightened, lengthened frame or all out rigid drag frame.

(Maybe a MAX wheel base on the Non-OEM frame???)

Aftermarket cyl unlimited/OEM frame

-Aftermarket cyl allowed. Power adders and alternative fuels allowed. Turbo, Nitrous, M5 fuel, Oxy fuel.
-Frame must maintain stock mounting locations of a-arms and stock mounting location of swingarm. Chromoly sub frame allowed.

Aftermarket cyl unlimited/Non-OEM frame

-Aftermarket cyl allowed. Power adders allowed.(Nitrous, turbo) Alternative fuels allowed. M5 or Oxy fuel.
-Frame can be stock lengthened, lightened frame or all out rigid drag frame.

(Maybe a MAX wheel base on the Non-OEM frame???)

Lets get some discussion on what everyone wants. We already have a good topic on the rules BUT we need to be thinking about a class structure also.

I have no idea about anything banshee related motor wise. So give your opinions about it.

And make sure its beneficial to everyone and not just you....

Hell, I could be way off on the single cylinder stuff. It was just a rough idea..

I think we need to have classes built around the most common engines out there (421-465-611) I think this is the only way to build this sport. If the majority vote is a stock cylinder 350cc class in a stock frame with a min weight so be it. If normal people aren't going racing then we are all still just racing ourselves and this sport will never change. Thats why hill racing is way more popular out in Ca people feel they don't have a chance to win against the shops at the track.JMO as always

I can see an OEM frame limited/unlimited single cyld class because thats a HUGE market in the 4 stroke world and as most realize they are a big part of the game now, but other than that there is no need for multi cyld OEM frame stuff.. In the previous structure there were WAY too many classes with some of them being split by less than 100cc's which makes no sence. I think a stock cyld, stock stroke, max .080 over bore (oem banshee cyld) limited/unlimmited class would be fun, but Im not sure how well it would be entered. Outside of that, Im sure whatever is decided upon not all will be happy but people will build for what classes they wanna enter.

The idea of a stock cyl, stock stroke max .080 bore OEM class being a good turnout. For guys never running 300ft. Its a great starting point for them.

Thats what this is all about. getting more people into the sport. It gets boring racing the same people over and over again. I know this is why people go to different builds. But in order for the sport to grow, we need to think of the little people.

Thats why there needs to be some sort of stock cyl class.

No one is gonna spend a couple grand on a motor, just to try it out.. then decide they dont like it. And now they have a motor and no use for it..

Stock -.080 over would be a great class limited / unlimited engine and frame just use one of my favorite's K I S S keep it simple stupid. It's just about racing for me and meeting new friends and having fun. We are a very small team that will never break any records, but will break a bunch of parts like everyone else. This would be a great starting class. J.M.O. Mike

i think their needs to be alot of index racing where singles, twins, triples and 4's can possibly be paired up. there are way too many types of engines to have classes for everyone.
You could make some general classes for soem of the bigger classes, and maybe some smaller ones if specific bikes would pre-register for a race to see how many of that tpye would come out.
Lastly, if there just arent enough to make a good class, just have them index.
